Every architectural space reflects the people who create and inhabit it.

I strive to capture that relationship while revealing its beauty and purpose.

My name is Jana Sebestova, and I have been a professional photographer for over 25 years.

I grew up in Bratislava, surrounded by architects, designers, and urban planners.
“Shape” and “space” were part of everyday conversations,
which profoundly influenced my aesthetic as a photographer.

The interplay of shapes and environments has always been a crucial element in my work.
I am obsessed with the joy of finding the perfect composition between shapes.

But what are environments and architecture without humans? They are merely “decorative boxes”—interesting, but incomplete.
It is the human presence that gives meaning to an environment created by humans themselves, through how they choose to use and inhabit it.
Ultimately, it is the human element that completes the work of an architect or designer, validating their efforts over time.
